Annabelle & Mum are taking a super fun music class every week. We are learning many songs (a CD with the songs is provided so we can practice at home), also learning about pitch, beat and tone. We make sounds with different instruments like a xylophone, bells and sticks.
Annabelle’s favorite part is when the teacher dumps a big basket of different instruments in the middle of the floor and then puts on this funky coffee house music. The kids all pick one and keep beat while switching around. The attached picture is Annabelle rocking it out during this session.
Cousin Janine & Jessica are taking the class with us too which makes it extra special. Jessie dances around on her toes while Annabelle prefers to sit and groove.
In the last class a lot of the children were off playing around and the mommies were sitting in a circle kind of on their own. My sweet baby went around the circle and visited everyone, pulled up to standing by their shoulder or would show them how to clap. She is such a treasure.

how cool is that class?!
I'd love to incorporate music into E's day in a more formal way. I wish we could come to your class with you!
