I’m sure in what is a first of very many incidents; Nate made my heart actually drop out of my chest last night. - He disappeared. -.
We were cleaning up dinner, I was unloading some shopping bags, Annabelle & Nate were playing back & forth from the living room to the dining room to the kitchen. A lot of activity going on.
Then I noticed that Nate was missing, I looked around the floor, under the dining room table, in the bathroom, assured the door to the upstairs was firmly shut, back to my Mom’s rooms, under her bed. All the while calling “Nate, Nate” – my Mom & Annabelle were frantically running from room to room too – no Nate. Although it was only about 3 minutes it seemed to happen in slow motion.
During one pass through the kitchen I heard a “e- yah” and turned to
look at the cart tucked beside the stove – the whole top of it was covered with groceries I was putting away and the bottom that normally holds a bucket along with the coffee containers- to see Nate had pushed the bucket off to the side and crawled up under. He was having a good old time chewing on the cool stainless steel bars and using the coffee cans as a drum.
