I have heard the expression “A picture is worth a thousand words” all my life. It’s funny how something does not strike you until you need it to.

I had been thinking about my lack of participation in the blog. I had been thinking I *really* did want this to be a yearbook I could print out and save as I discarded pages of a calendar annually. I had been thinking but not doing, which unfortunately produces little result.

I get an email from a friend who has decided everyone daily needs a photo of dogs and cats wearing costumes. Instead of hitting my usual delete (sorry!) I opened it. The title of the photo was “a picture is worth a thousand words”. It hit me. Hey, I HAVE pictures. If in fact pictures are worth a thousand words I could post them all to the equivalent of War & Peace.

So that is what I am going to do, post pictures of our self dubbed “Summer of Fun”. Probably with very little narrative, you know, until I am feeling the urge to fill paragraphs with words once again.
