The first time we took Fleury to the vet they needed a birthdate for his chart, so the vet guesstimated a date to be Sept 20th and wrote it down. My ever observant girl noticed this and filed away for future use.
Around the beginning of the month she started talking about Fluery's Birthday and how she wanted to have a surprise party for him. The day arrived and she went into planning mode. Daddy was assigned cupcake duty, I was given the
task of decorations(utilized some leftover Thomas decorations from Nate's birthday) and Nana had to assure Nate didn't spill the beans.

After dinner when Fleury was sleeping in Annabelle's room I blew up some balloons and wrote a "1" on them with marker and we turned off the lights. She brought him in, we turned on the lights and yelled "Surprise".
This cat is such a good sport. He lets the kids do whatever they want with minimal complaint (usually just a long suffering look). He delights in any attention given. We were so very blessed the day he showed up on our porch.
