Our 5 month birthday shoot started out with a thud.

I set the stage exactly as I have been setting it for the past 4 months, white blanket on the bouncy seat, surrounding floor clear of excess debris, set the Nate down and reached for the camera. As I stretched Nate sat straight up and toppled forward, it happened so fast I just got my hand under him before he hit the floor. He laughed. I tried again, set him in the bouncy seat tried to snap a few pictures but he kept sitting straight forward.

I abandoned the idea of using the bouncy seat and just set him on the floor. Up to this point he had not sat unassisted but has been practicing in the Bumbo a lot. At first he toppled to the side, the second time he sat right up, kinda leaning forward but still sitting on his own. As you can see he loved it and I got lots of smiles
